Autumn Haiku

late rose blossoms
crimson against the pale sky
petals tipped with frost

cool winds whisper change
trees shed their summer garments
gaily children rake

trees in autumn splendor
spread their cloaks upon the ground
bowing to the wind

cool air stinging ears
loud snores reverberating
crickets incessant
