Clouds

Carpe Diem Time Glass # 9 Clouds

parched earth reaches out
kissing the cloud painted sky
begging for reprieve

~

pink cotton candy
stretches across the pale sky
morning approaches

~

mist lingers idly
water washing the mountain…
softly morning dawns

~

lying in the sun
feet against oak tree  watching -
cloud formations

~

under the oak
on our backs laughing
cloud imaginings

~

clouds and moonlight
reflected across water
tide lapping my feet

  1. I've always enjoyed lying on my back, looking up at the clouds and watching the changing shapes. Thanks for the pleasant memories!

Lots of reality feel on this! One feels like the candy floss are all there for the asking. Wonderful lines Dolores!

    1. Thank you. I've learned this too over the years. Makes me try to find the excitement in the mundane and the beauty in the cracks.
